This includes working with the forest service regarding trail development and bike access, providing signage for trails, working with the city to provide bike lanes, road cleaning to make bike lanes safer and other cycling related advocacy in the Verde Valley Area.

More New Trails - Your Input Needed!!!!!!

In 2015 the Verde Valley Cyclists Coalition Partnered with the City of Sedona to further plan new construction and adoption of nearly 25 miles of single track in the Dry Creek Area also known as the Western Gateway. Many of you are likely familiar with Last Frontier or Western Civilization trails. We hired Tyson Swasey to design and plan the trail system. Tyson is well known for his work in Moab on Captain Ahab Trail and working with Trail Mix. Tyson now works with IMBA Trail Solutions. The plan created by Tyson has now made its way into a proposal by the FS which also includes a few other projects within the Coconino NF. We need you to give your opinion on the request for comments to the FS. If all goes well we will be hopefully putting much of these propesed trail projects on the ground in the coming work cycles.

We ask that you read through Tysons proposal as there are a number of trails not included into the FS document. We feel strongly that the "Down and Out" trail should be included in the FS planning. The Down and Out Trail adds the full spectrum of skill range to the area.
